Associate Director of Vector Production
I am a classically trained chemical engineer with a deep understanding of molecular biology. My doctoral work focused on molecular virology with an emphasis on developing scalable technology for viral based gene therapy modalities. I have extensive experience in overseeing viral vector manufacturing centers with the premise of developing novel production and characterization methods to meet clinical safety and demand. I am passionate about progressing manufacturing technologies to bring safe viral vectors to patients in hopes of providing advanced therapies to meet unmet needs. With the advent of regulatory approval in the EU and the US for commercializing gene therapy products, we are at an exciting time to be involved in this space and I hope to highlight some of the more recent challenges in bioprocessing of this new class of drugs.
